Aims and Scope

AspireGates International Journal of Medicine (AGIJM) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal publishing research in medicine and allied health sciences, including (but not limited to): General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry & Neurology, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases & Microbiology, Physiotherapy, Metabolic Disorders & Biochemistry, Dental Hygiene, Dietetics, Nutrition & Physiology, Psychology & Mental Health, Nursing, Public Health, and Clinical Research.

Manuscript Types

AGIJM accepts the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Reports
  • Short Communications
  • Clinical Studies / Clinical Reports
  • Correspondence (Letters to the Editor)

All manuscripts must be submitted online through the AGIJM website submission system.

Publication Fees

AGIJM follows an open-access publishing model. Publication fees (if applicable) are charged only after acceptance.

Manuscript Preparation (Basic Requirements)

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear English.
  • Use double spacing in the main document and number all pages.
  • Follow the journal format; non-compliant manuscripts may be returned for correction.

Structure for Original Research Articles

Original Research should include:

  • Title Page
  • Abstract & Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion (Conclusion optional)
  • Acknowledgments + Authors' Contributions
  • Conflict of Interest / Funding Statement
  • References

Title Page Must Include

  • Article title
  • Full names of all authors
  • Author affiliations (department & institution)
  • Corresponding author details (name, address, email, phone)
  • Funding/source of support (if any)
  • Conflicts of interest statement
  • Running title (short title)

Abstract & Keywords

  • Original Research: Structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
  • Reviews/Reports: Unstructured abstract
  • Add 5–10 keywords below the abstract.

Ethics (Humans & Animals)

For human studies, authors must confirm:

  • Ethical approval from an appropriate committee/IRB
  • Informed consent (when applicable)
  • Patient privacy protections

For animal studies, authors must confirm:

  • Compliance with recognized animal research guidelines
  • Ethical approval and humane procedures

Plagiarism and Originality

AGIJM does not accept plagiarism or duplicate publication. Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection tools. If plagiarism is detected, appropriate editorial action will be taken.

Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must have made meaningful scientific contributions and approved the final manuscript. A brief Author Contributions statement is required.

AI (Generative AI) Use Policy

Authors are responsible for all submitted content. If AI tools were used, authors must disclose:

  • Tool name/version
  • Where and how it was used
  • Confirmation that authors reviewed/edited the output and take full responsibility

Note: AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

References Style

AGIJM follows AMA (American Medical Association) reference style:

  • References should be numbered in the order cited in the text.
  • Use superscript reference numbers where applicable.
